Creating a well-written job description will paint a clear picture of tasks and catch the interest of potential volunteers.

Provide a description of the organization and a mission statement that highlights agency programming and community partnerships.

Include the Basics

Include: Job Title, Job Summary, Key Responsibilities, Job Requirements (Physical, Mental, Emotional), and a Disclaimer.
People look for these requirements in order to determine if the opportunity is a good fit for them. 

Display Contact Information

Make sure the contact information is easy to find to ensure a quick and efficient connection to your organization.

  • Organization Name
  • Name of Volunteer Coordinator
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • E-Mail
  • Link to organization website (if available)

Keep It Simple
